Conway, Ark.- The Central Arkansas Bears (1-4, 0-1) return to the Stripes and UAC play on Saturday, October 4
th at 4pm, matching up with the Trailblazers of Utah Tech (1-4, 0-1). Both teams come into the game hungry for their first UAC win. This is the second meeting between the two teams with Utah Tech winning last year in St. George, Utah.
Last week the Bears lost a heart breaker at Lamar, scoring 15 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to get within 3 points. After stopping the Cardinals and getting the ball back with just a couple of minutes left in the game. The Bears drove into Cardinal territory but the final pass into the end zone fell incomplete.
Austin Myers made his return at quarterback after an injury had kept him off the field for the first four games of the season. He had a big game throwing for 358 yards and 3 touchdowns. All season, Landon Chambers has been a work horse, carrying the ball 91 times so far this season for 451 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Malachi Henry has 28 catches on the season for 325 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Tyrell Pollard,
Ty Durham and
Arlie Lee have also contributed to the passing game in big ways. Each of them has around 150 yards receiving, Pollard has 3 touchdowns while Durham and Lee each have 1 touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball the Bears are led in total tackles by
Dillon Williams (32), he also has 2 tackles for a loss on the season.

Marcus Washington, Ny'len Jones and
Kyle Vocque all have more than 20 total tackles. While
Gary Lewis leads the team in sacks (3) and Travion Traylor leads the team in tackles for a loss (5).
The Trailblazers offense is led by quarterback Reggie Graff, he comes into the game having completed 48 passes for 408 yards, 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. The running game is also led by Graff who has 288 yards on 63 carries and 2 touchdowns. Asa Chatman has also contributed to the run game with 227 yards and 2 touchdowns. The top two receivers for the Trailblazers have been Eric Olsen (171 yards) and Kaden Eggett (148 yards). Daylen Love has led their defense with 34 total tackles, 3.5 for a loss and 2 sacks. While Dallin Haves has 17 total tackles, 3.5 for a loss, and 3 sacks on the season.
It's also Hall of Fame Weekend at Central Arkansas this weekend and the 7 new members will be introduced prior to kickoff. Dr. William "Bill" Bandy (Meritorious Service), Troy Brown (Track & Field), Hollie Fowler (W. Soccer), Gary Huggins (Football and Coaching), Shane McConnell (Football), Darryl McCree (Football) and Joanna Velasquez (Softball) will make up the 2025 Hall of Fame class.
