CONWAY, Ark. — The Central Arkansas Sugar Bears are set for a pivotal weekend of ASUN volleyball, beginning tonight on the road at North Alabama before returning home to celebrate Senior Day on Saturday against Jacksonville inside the Prince Center.
First serve against the Lions is scheduled for 6 p.m., while Saturday's Senior Day match will begin at 11 a.m. as the Sugar Bears honor their senior class in their final regular-season home appearance.
UCA (10-10, 7-3 ASUN) continues to battle among the league's top contenders, powered by a balanced offense and tough defensive core. Laci Bohannan leads the team with 227 kills, followed by Gabby Tuiaana with 182 and Samantha Cousins with 139. Setter Caylan Koons directs the offense with 627 assists, while also adding 13 service aces and 136 digs.
Defensively, Alexis McDaniel anchors the back row with a team-high 310 digs, while McKinzee Haas leads the blocking front with 75.0 blocks, supported by Tuiaana (54.0) and Greyson Button (51.0).
McDaniel also paces the team at the service line with 24 aces, with Bohannan (19) and Ella Chaney (16) close behind.
Tonight's matchup in Florence provides a key test before the Sugar Bears return to Conway for an emotional Senior Day celebration on Saturday morning. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the pre-match ceremony honoring UCA's senior class.
