Preview: Bears vs Wolves in Georgia

Conway, Ark.- The University of Central Arkansas Bears (3-4, 2-1) will travel to Carrollton, Ga., for a 1 P.M. kickoff at the West Georgia Wolves (5-3, 2-3) on Saturday. This UAC matchup will take place at University Stadium during Homecoming festivities at UWG.

The Bears are coming off their bye week and are looking to win their third straight UAC game after defeating Utah Tech and North Alabama in their two previous games. Against UNA, Landen Chambers ran for 184 yards and 3 touchdowns, earning UAC Offensive Player of the Week honors. This was Chambers' fourth 100-yard rushing game in a row and fifth of the season. Quarterback Austin Myers, in his second start of the season, threw for 232 yards at UNA with three touchdowns, bringing his season total to seven touchdown passes. Malachi Henry continues to lead wide receivers with 476 receiving yards and 5 touchdown catches. Tyrell Pollard has added 5 receiving touchdowns and 304 receiving yards. Dude Person, Ashtyn Williams, and Dillon Williams all have 40 total tackles on the season to lead a defense that is starting to come into their own. In their last game against UNA, the Bears allowed only 290 yards of total offense, the fewest this season since their Week 2 game against UAPB (272 yards).

The Wolves, on the other hand, are looking to bounce back after losing their last three games. The Wolves had a difficult stretch of the season over the past three weeks, playing #21 Austin Peay, #19 Abilene Christian, and #3 Tarleton State. Quarterback Davin Wydner has been the main signal caller for the Wolves this season. He has thrown for 1,022 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 8 Interceptions. Latrelle Murrell has 124 carries on the season for 635 rushing yards and 1 touchdown. Wide Receiver Jordan Dees has the most receiving yards for the Wolves with 414; he also has 3 touchdowns. Jay Carter has the most total tackles on the season with 50 from his Linebacker position, and right behind him is Linebacker Micah Thurman with 45 total tackles on the season.
