OWENS CROSSROADS, Ala. – Day two of the ASUN Championships saw
Madison Holmes ascend into the top-10 after Monday's second round.
The junior played her way to a 3-under 69 to move up to sixth place. She tallied four birdies on the day, bringing her two-day total to seven.
Gudrun Thorsteinsdottir shot a 76 in her second round, adding two birdies to her scorecard on Monday. Her score after 36 holes is 148, and keeps her in the top-20.
Pim-orn Thitisup penciled in a 1-over 73 in round two, putting her score at 150 after Monday's second round. She put in three birdies in the second round, and finished the back nine in 36 strokes.
Valeria Ramirez tallied two birdies en route to a 77 on Monday, putting her two-round score at 155.
Ayami Takahashi put in two birdies of her own, also scoring a 77.
Lipscomb held the top spot through round two, scoring a 4-under 284 to go under par for the tournament. Kennesaw State remained at number two, and North Florida and Stetson both rose up into a three-way tie for third with Austin Peay. The Bears slipped to number eight after Monday's play. Lipscomb's Lauren Thompson moved up to first place with an 8-under 64 second round score, followed by Jacksonville's Ivete Rodrigues and Stetson's Julieta Oviedo rounding out the top three.
