NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Central Arkansas women's golf team rounded out the Tulane Classic Tuesday afternoon, finishing 12
th after posting its best score in the third round. A 301 in the final round by three Bears moving up the standings.
Madison Holmes finished in the top-25 after posting a 77 on Tuesday. The junior finished with six birdies across three rounds, ending her 54 holes with a score of 224.
Valeria Ramirez improved her standing with a 3-over 75 in the final round. She tallied two birdies on the last day, and finished the back nine in an even 36 strokes.
Ayami Takahashi posted her best score of the tournament with a 75, birdieing 11 after finishing the front nine in 37 strokes. Pim-orn Thitisup also had her best round in the third, scoring a 74 to climb 18 spots before the end of the Tulane Classic. She kept every hole within a stroke of par, adding a birdie on 14.
Gudrun Thorsteinsdottir tallied a 78 on Tuesday, sinking two birdies along the way.
Colorado State pulled into first place by the end of the day, combining for a 291 to take home gold. Cal Poly finished a stroke behind the Rams, and Mizzou fell from first to third after an 8-over 296. Missouri's Fleur Van Beek took home individual honors, followed by Notre Dame's Lauren Beaudreau and Princeton's Yanjun Liu rounding out the top-three.
