Conway, Ark. - In a thrilling ASUN Conference matchup, the Central Arkansas Sugar Bears narrowly missed victory, falling to the Lipscomb Bisons 3-2 (19-25, 25-20, 10-25, 25-19, 10-15). Despite a valiant effort, the Sugar Bears' record moves to 13-11 overall and 10-3 in conference play.
Central Arkansas had standout performances on offense, with
Laci Bohannan leading with 19 kills, and
Regan Harp contributing 8. Setter
Caylan Koons tallied 39 assists, fueling the Sugar Bears' attack. Despite their efforts, Lipscomb's defense kept the Sugar Bears' hitting percentage to .183, with several swings lost to blocks and digs from a tenacious Bisons lineup.
Defensively,
Alexis McDaniel was instrumental with a match-high 16 digs, while
Bohannan added 7 digs and
Koons had 6. The team also benefited from a strong front-row defense, as
Allison Holloway and
