Softball Unveils 2025 Schedule

CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas softball team has unveiled its 2025 schedule, which features multiple high-level tournaments, Power 4 matchups, and an ASUN schedule that should prove competitive, boasting ten teams that made an NCAA Regional last season.

"We built this schedule to test us early and prepare us for April and May. Scheduling some of these early games and opponents will put us up against some tough teams, but those games will help us grow," Head coach Jenny Parsons said of the schedule. "We feel good about being able to improve over the course of the season and hit our stride as we start conference games."

The season opens on February 7th at LSU's Tiger Classic, where the Bears will play five games, including two against the hosting Tigers. The following weekend, Central Arkansas will be back in Louisiana, playing in the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational.

The Bears play their first games at home from February 21st-23rd, playing in the Michelle Short/Adam Brown Tournament. That weekend, Central Arkansas will play host to Oklahoma State, SIUE and South Dakota State, playing the Cowgirls twice. The first midweek of the year comes on February 25th, making the return trip to Louisiana Tech. Central Arkansas closes the month of February at Southern Illinois, playing in the Saluki's home tournament.

Central Arkansas hosts Missouri State and Memphis before welcoming a pair of teams in for its second home tournament of the season, hosting the Milisa Moore/Shane Lamb Tournament with foes Omaha and Illinois State for the first weekend of March.

ASUN play begins with back-to-back road series, playing a three-game set at EKU on March 14th-15th and North Alabama the following weekend. In between, the first matchup with the University of Arkansas; the Bears will play the Hogs in Fayetteville in a morning matchup on March 18th.

The Bears host ASUN series against Austin Peay (3/28-29), EKU (4/5-6), Lipscomb (4/18-19) and North Alabama (5/2-3). Once ASUN play starts, the Bears will play just five midweeks: the aforementioned road trip to Arkansas, Wichita State and Tulsa on the road, at Mississippi State, and home against Arkansas. The Farris Field matchup with the Razorbacks is set for April 15th at 5 p.m.

The Bears wrap up the regular season at home against North Alabama, playing a three-game set the first weekend of May. The Bears will use that weekend to celebrate its graduating class, honoring them on Senior Day.
