CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears will be back at the Farris Center for two games this week, beginning with a matchup with Southeast Missouri at 6:30 Thursday night on Scottie Pippen Court.
The Bears (1-3) lost at Western Illinois on Saturday after winning their only home game last Wednesday against Randall. UCA will also play UNC Asheville at 1 p.m. Sunday as part of their annual MTE (multi-team event). SEMO and UNAC will play at 6:30 Friday.

Layne Taylor of Farmington, Ark., had a career-high 21 points, hitting five three-pointers and adding six rebounds. UCA shot 43.4 percent overall and held the Leathernecks to 38.9 percent from the field. Sophomore guard
Brayden Fagbemi added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
UCA was 7 of 7 at the free-throw line, but WIU was 13 of 20. UCA was called for 18 fouls to WIU's nine.
SEMO is also 1-3, with a lone victory over Crowley's Ridge College, and losses to Bradley, Vanderbilt and Chattanooga. The Redhawks were picked seventh out of 11 teams in the Ohio Valley Conference preseason poll. Little Rock, which UCA plays on Dec. 4, was picked to win the league.Â
The Redhawks are led in scoring by junior guard Teddy Washington, Jr., of Blytheville, Ark. He averages 16.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard B.J. Ward of St. Louis is the top perimeter threat, with 11 (of 21) three pointers, good for 52.4 percent from beyond the arc.
SEMO's roster features three 7-footers, but none in the projected starting lineup.Â
