PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – The Central Arkansas women's golf team made some headway on Monday, moving two spots up the team leaderboard of the Golfweek Fall Challenge as three individuals moved up with stellar play. The Bears now have three players in the top-25, with a pair among the top-10.
 
Ayami Takahashi moved into the top-10 with another 1-over 72, playing consistent golf and adding two more birdies to her count. Valeria Ramirez rose 12 spots after playing an even 71 on Monday, starting the round with back-to-back birdies on one and two. The sophomore would total four birdies in the second round, totaling seven birdies after 36 holes.
 
Pim-Orn Thitisup made the one of the biggest jumps in the field in Monday's round, shooting 71 to rise 30 spots on the leaderboard. Thitisup had four birdies in her second round, returning to the form the Bears are accustomed to from the senior. Camila Moreno added a 78 to her scorecard, totaling 155 through two rounds. Madison Holmes played an 84 on Monday, adding a third birdie to her total.
 
As a team, Central Arkansas has been lights out on par threes, maintaining the second-best stroke average on such holes with a 3.00 average per par three hole. Takahashi and Thitisup are both 3-under on par three holes, tied for the best mark among the field. Ramirez ranks tied for fifth at the Golfweek Fall Challenge with seven birdies.
 
Lipscomb remains on top in the team rankings, with the rest of the top-three (UNCW and Charleston Southern) remaining the same as well. Lipscomb's Lauren Thompson also stayed in first place, followed now by UNCW's Mallory Forbes and Charleston Southern's Caroline Engelbrendt in a tie for second place.
 
The Golfweek Fall Challenge has one more round until completion, with 18 more holes to be played on Tuesday.
