BEARS SIGN LITTLE ROCK'S GUY-KING

CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears added another key piece to the puzzle this week with the signing of Javion Guy-King.

Guy-King, a Little Rock, Ark., native, comes to UCA from Sunrise Christian Academy. The 6-foot-6, 205-pound guard played at Little Rock Mills University Studies High School.

Guy-King started at Sunrise on a team that went 33-4 with a runnerup finish at the National Prep Championships in Worcester, Mass. He averaged 12.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals at Sunrise. Guy-King received offers from schools such as Arkansas, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss as a junior at Mills before missing most of his senior year due to injury.

"Javion is a guy that we have watched grow and develop for several years, most of them right in our backyard at Little Rock Mills," said UCA head coach Anthony Boone. "The level  of play he provided this previous season at Sunrise Christian speaks for itself.

"He is a versatile wing that is capable of impacting the game in so many ways beyond scoring. I'm really looking forward to having him in this program."
