DOLPHINS ROLL PAST BEARS IN GAME 2 OF SERIES

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. _ The Jacksonville Dolphins piled up 14 hits and 17 runs on Saturday afternoon to take Game 2 of their series with the University of Central Arkansas Bears 17-2 in ASUN action at John Sessions Stadium.

The Dolphins (17-8, 3-2) hit four home runs, three by third baseman Kyle Armstrong, and JU pitcher Christian Graham went the distance and held the Bears to just four hits total. Graham struck out nine and walked two in the run-rule game.

Junior third baseman Mason King hit his third home run of the season for UCA, a solo shot in the sixth inning. Drew Sturgeon, A.J. Mendolia and Noah Argenta had UCA's other three hits, all singles. UCA scored first in the top of the first when Sturgeon led off the game with a base hit and came around on two wild pitches and scored on a throwing error by Jacksonville's catcher.

From there it was all Dolphins as they scored the next 17 runs before King's home run.

UCA starter Tate Busey took the loss, allowing five hits and eight runs in 1 2/3 innings.

Game 3 of the series is set for 11 a.m. (CT) Sunday. The Bears then return home for five consecutive games at Bear Stadium beginning Tuesday against Arkansas State.
