CONWAY, Ark. _ The only meeting of the season between the University of Central Arkansas Bears and the Little Rock Trojans is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday night on Scottie Pippen Court at the Farris Center.

The teams will meet just once this year in the "Governor's I-40 Showdown" after splitting a pair of matchups a year ago.

UCA won 82-71 at home last season and Little Rock took the rematch 75-66 at home. In the first meeting, the Bears made eight three-pointers, shot 46.4 percent overall and had 48 points in the paint. Eddy Kayouloud had a game-high 26 points, while Collin Cooper added 22. The Trojans had five players in double figures but made just 4 of 16 from three-point range and shot 39.7 percent overall.

The Trojans had five in double figures in the rematch and made eight threes at the Stephens Center. UCA got 17 points from Camren Hunter, who made 3 of 6 from beyond the arc.

The Bears are coming off a long two-game road trip to Loyola Marymount last Wednesday and Hawaii on Sunday. Little Rock beat in-state rival Arkansas State last Friday night in Little Rock.

UCA's leading scorer is freshman Tucker Anderson at 13.8 points per game. He is coming off a career-high 23 points in the loss at Hawaii. The Bears have two other players averaging double figures, including Elias Cato (12.3) and Carl Daughtery, Jr., (10.4). Cato missed the Hawaii game with an illness.

The Bears have had just two players play in every game this season due to injuries and illness.

Little Rock is led in scoring by former Arkansas Razorback and Texas A&M Aggie KK Robinson at 19.0 points per game, but the senior guard from Little Rock has missed the past three games due to injury. Three others average double figures, including DeAntoni Gordon (16.9), Jamir Chaplin (16.1) and Cougar Downing (11.4).

The Trojans are 4-4 overall, with three consecutive victories over Tulsa, Ball State and ASU, and an earlier win over Texas State. The losses were to Illinois-Chicago, Northern Illinois, Georgia State in back-to-back games home and away.

UCA returns to the road for a pre-finals game at Eastern Illinois on Sunday in Charleston, Ill., before taking nine days off.
