HONOLULU, Hawaii _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears will finish off a long, distance-wise, road trip with a matchup with the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors at 9 p.m. (CST) Sunday at Simplifi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
The Bears and Rainbow Warriors will be playing for the second time after a November 2010 meeting in which Hawaii won 83-69 at the same site.
Hawaii (5-1) lost for the first time 79-66 on Thursday night against Utah in Salt Lake City. The Bears (1-8) are coming off a 90-63 loss at Loyola Marymount on Wednesday in Los Angeles. Camren Hunter, out all season with a foot injury.
Hawaii is 3-0 at home this season, with wins over Hawaii-Hilo (82-66), Niagara (92-73) and Northern Arizona (70-61). The Rainbow Warriors average 77.2 points per game and allow 67 per game. Hawaii has three players averaging in double figures, led by senior guard Noel Coleman at 16 points per game. Coleman is also the team leader with 13 three-pointers made.
The Rainbow Warriors have connected 50 times from three-point range, nearly twice the number of three-pointers allowed (26). Hawaii is shooting 36.2 percent from beyond the arc.
