HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Round two of the Diamante Intercollegiate saw the Central Arkansas women's golf team maintain a top-three spot, with all four counting scores again staying at or below par.
Gudrun Thorsteinsdottir also kept her top-10 spot, moving into sixth after the second round.
Thorsteinsdottir continued to play lights out golf, adding four more birdies and only bogeying one hole on Monday. The freshman has eight birdies through two days, and her 3-under 69 sets another season-best.
Madison Holmes built on her success from yesterday, dropping her score with a 2-under 70 on Monday. She collected three more birdies to raise her total to five after 36 holes.
Valeria Ramirez recovered from a tough start to pencil in five birdies in the second round, completing a 1-under 71. She leads the Bears with nine birdies after two days.
Pim-Orn Thitisup's total score stayed at par after a 1-over 73 on Monday. The senior tallied three birdies through the middle of the course, and stands at eight overall.
Camila Moreno started on the back nine for round two, playing a terrific 3-under on the last nine holes of the course before settling at a 2-under 70 on the day.
Ayami Takahashi scattered four birdies across 18 holes, capping a 3-over 75.
Tanja Csaszar played one of her best rounds, adding a birdie while keeping 17 of the 18 holes within a stroke of par, turning in a 3-over 75.
Boston College moved into first place after a 15-under second round. The Eagles jumped Cal Baptist, who is now in second, while the Bears maintained a third place spot. Boston College's Canice Screene moved into first place, with a three-way tie for second now existing as the Diamante Intercollegiate moves to the final round.
