LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Claiming the program's first individual medalist since 2018, freshman Mark Stockdale put together a terrific round three at the Everett Buick GMC Classic to take home first place. He led the Bears to a sixth-place finish after Tuesday's third round.
 
Stockdale was tied for the third-best round among the 83 qualifying golfers, recording a third-round 67 to claim the top spot. He tallied six more birdies on Tuesday, adding to his first two rounds to walk away with the most birdies in the tournament, 18. Harrison Arnold finished in the top-25 after a 1-under 71 on his final 18 holes. He added five more birdies to his count, ending the event with 16.
 
Palmer McSpadden capped his event with a 2-over 74 to finish with a three-round score of 224. The elder statesman of the team finished with nine birdies across three rounds. Harry Ollington, playing as an individual, turned in his scorecard with a 2-over 74 as well, rounding off a 226 after 54 holes. He compiled ten birdies and an eagle, one of two Bears to record a score of 2-under on a single hole. Nash Johnson added a pair of birdies to his day, ending Tuesday's play with a 76, for a three-round total of 230.
 
LSU held on for the team victory, followed by Troy and host Little Rock in the top-three. Stockdale became the first individual medalist for Central Arkansas since Lewis George in the Southland Conference Championships in April of 2018, beating out Michigan's Hunter Thomson and a four-way tie for third place.
 
Tuesday's close brings a halt to the season for the Bears, who completed the fall portion of their schedule. Next up, Central Arkansas waits until February to participate in the Lake Las Vegas Invitational, hosted by Louisiana.
