JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Central Arkansas women's golf team finds itself in 11
th place after two rounds of golf at the UNF Collegiate tournament. Led by
Camila Moreno, who sits tied for 25
th at the end of the day, the Bears have Tuesday's action to improve their standings in the field of 17 teams.
Moreno jumped 16 places from rounds one to two, shooting a 1-over 73 to climb back into shouting distance of a top-10 finish.
Elin Kumlin is behind her at 36
th, having played a 7-over 151 on the first day of the event.
Madison Holmes rounded out the top-50 with a 9-over 153 on Monday.
Tania Nunez slipped in the rankings in the second round, ending her day with a 10-over 154.
Karley Whittington fired a 3-over 75 in the first leg of the tournament, before falling to 58
th by the end.
Host North Florida currently leads on the team side of the event, checking in at 1-over 577 at the end of Monday. Furman sits in second place, with North Texas and Sam Houston tied for third place. Individually, Penn State's Isha Dhruva jumped 11 spots in the standings to end the first day tied for first place with South Alabama's Carlota Garcia, both finishing the day at a 3-under 141.
The Bears will continue the UNF Collegiate tomorrow with another round of golf to determine final standings.
