CONWAY, Ark. _ The Missouri State Bears used the long ball Saturday to roll to a 19-2 victory over the University of Central Arkansas Bears in their series finale at Bear Stadium.
MSU (2-1) hit five home runs and added three doubles and a triple to break open a 4-2 game through four innings. The visiting Bears put up 11 runs on 10 hits in the fifth inning to put the game away early. Second baseman Mason Hull hit two of the Bears' home runs and finished with five runs batted in. Left fielder Spencer Nivens went 4 for 4 with six RBI and scored three times.
UCA (1-2), which won the series opener 7-4 on Friday, had just six hits, with no players with multiple hits. The home Bears used eight different pitchers, with starter
Tyler Navarro the only one going more than two innings. He lasted four innings, striking out six but allowing seven runs.Â

MSU had four pitchers on the day, with starter Dan Merrill getting the victory, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out six. MSU totaled 20 hits.
UCA hits the road for the first time, taking on the Memphis Tigers at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Memphis. The Bears return home for a weekend series with Southern Illinois, beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.
