FORT WORTH, Texas _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears will face their first Top 25 team of the season on Wednesday when they take on the No. 18 TCU Horned Frogs.

Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. at Schollmaier Arena.

The Bears (5-7) are coming off a seven-day holiday break following a 75-66 loss at Little Rock on Dec. 20. The Horned Frogs (10-1) last played on Dec. 21, beating Utah 75-71 in Salt Lake City, Utah. TCU has won eight consecutive games since its lone loss of the season to Northwestern State at home on Nov. 14.

The Demons, former Southland Conference rivals of the Bears, won 64-63 by holding the Horned Frogs to 2 of 21 (9.5 percent) from three-point range. TCU shot 27 free throws (making 19) compared to 4 of 8 from NSU. The Horned Frogs had just two players in double figures with 12 and 10 points, while the Demons got 25 points from Ja'Monta Black and 19 from Demarcus Sharp.

UCA also lost to NSU at home this season, dropping a 74-66 overtime decision at the Farris Center on Nov. 26 in the Central Arkansas Classic.

While UCA and TCU will be meeting for the first time, the Bears have faced a team coached by TCU head coach Jamie Dixon before. UCA lost at Pittsburgh in 2015 when Dixon was the Panthers' head coach.

Both teams will be playing their final tuneups before conference play begins. UCA opens ASUN Conference play on Saturday on the road at Kennesaw (Ga.) State. TCU hosts Texas Tech on Saturday for its Big 12 opener.

The Bears will follow the KSU game with a pair of home ASUN games against Florida Gulf Coast (Jan. 2) and Eastern Kentucky (Jan. 5).
