CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas will have their second of three opportunities this week to extend their home winning streak when they host the Jacksonville State Gamecocks at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Farris Center.

A wild, 89-88 overtime win over North Alabama on Saturday afternoon pushed UCA's home record to 5-0 this season on the new Scottie Pippen Court. UCA will follow the JSU game with a home matchup against LIberty on Saturday afternoon before returning to the road next week.

The Bears and Gamecocks wil face off for the third time in history, with UCA leading the series 2-1. JSU won the last meeting, in the second round of the 2018 CBI Tournament, beating UCA 80-59 at the Farris Center. The Bears had beaten Seattle on the road in the opening round in their first NCAA Division I postseason tournament.

Heading into Tuesday's game, UCA will have momentum on its side after an incredible comeback and finish that saw the Bears overcome a six-point deficit with just 1:12 remaining in overtime, without three starters (and two leading scorers) who had fouled out. After UCA tied it at 87-87 on Masai Olowokere's three-pointer with 10.3 seconds left, UNA made 1 of 2 at the free-throw line, leaving UCA just 1.7 seconds and facing a one-point deficit.

Freshman Ibbe Klintman took an inbounds pass and threw it ahead to sophomore guard Collin Cooper, who fired a long, desperation three-pointer from the right wing. UNA's Detalian Brown fouled him, sending him to the free-throw line with three shots with just .2 seconds remaining. Cooper, who finished with 14 points, made the first two and intentionally missed the third to seal the improbable victory.

The Gamecocks are 10-6 overall and 3-0 in ASUN play after a 76-65 victory at Eastern Kentucky on Saturday. JSU was picked third and fifth in the ASUN preseason polls, but currently sits tied for first place in the Western Division with Bellarmine. UCA is next at 3-1. The teams will meet again in Jacksonville, Ala., on Saturday, Feb. 12.

Jacksonville features three players who average double figures, led by senior guard Darian Adams at 15.1 points per game. The Gamecocks have a veteran roster, with four seniors and a juinor in their starting lineup. JSU's other two ASUN victories came against teams that UCA has also beaten, Lipscomb and North Alabama.

UCA, which has won four of its last five games and is 3-1 in the new year, had five players in double figures against UNA, led by junior Darious Hall with 25 points and 13 rebounds, his sixth double-double of the season. Hall leads the Bears on the season in scoring (15.5), rebounds (7.9) and assists (2.7) and is averaging a double-double (17/11) in league play.

Freshman guard Camren Hunter had a career-high 21 points against UNA and has averaged 14.5 points per game in the four conference games. The Bears are averaging 81.0 points and shooting 47.4 percent from the field, with just 13 turnovers per game, in ASUN play.
