From the Coach – Head Coach Autumn Erickson
"I'm really proud of our win today in the first match. We had to play through some of the hottest weather we have experienced all season and I think we kept our mental focus against a very good Texas A&M-Kingsville team. Even though we fell short against a top-notch LSU program, we had a lot of fun. We try to walk away from every win or loss asking ourselves what we learned and how can we get better, so it's important to play teams like that in order to grow. We are turning our attention to a long grueling day tomorrow and really focusing on staying mentally consistent despite the heat or opponent. Go Beach Bears!"
