Lyon was able to get the bases loaded in the top of the third on errors by the UCA defense, but Beaver buckled down and got out of the inning unscathed.

Harris led the bottom of the third inning off with a bunt single down the third base line and then stole second. Shepherd drew a nine-pitch walk, before Harris and Shepherd stole third and second, respectively. Cylla Hill reached on an error that allowed Harris to score from third. Hill then stole second to give the Bears runners on second and third. Mary Kate Brown grounded out to second, but Shepherd scored from third to put the Bears on top 3-0.

The Scots got on the board in the top of the fourth on an Addison Harmon RBI single to left field.
