HOUSTON, Texas - The Central Arkansas Women's Soccer Team travels to Houston to take on the Huskies of Houston Baptist in a Southland Conference match on Friday, March 5.
TEAM NEWS
The Bears will return
Sydney Brough after she missed Sunday's match against Nicholls. The rest of the team returns healthy after a busy weekend which gave most some tired legs. Head Coach
Jeremy Bishop will look to start a strong and healthy 11 in a big conference road match.
FORM GUIDE
The Bears are currently on a two-game win streak in which they outscored their opponents 4-0. Keeping two clean sheets will look to push the defense to play stronger with the thought of a third straight. As for the Bears, who travel more through the final third, they look to add to their goal frenzy over the last two matches.
Houston Baptist is coming off three-straight conference losses, in which they were outscored 8-2. The Huskies look to turn it around against a red-hot Bears team.
HEAD TO HEAD
This will be the tenth meeting between the sides, with the Bears winning six of the meetings so far! The Bears, currently on a four-match win streak against the Huskies, look to make it five and stay unbeaten in Houston.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Abby Gibson and
Zoe Van de Cloot are both coming off strong weekends, combining for three of the four goals scored. Other Bears who have been in top form include
Reagan McCombs, who has kept two clean sheets and saved a penalty against Southeastern, and
Emma Hawkins, who scored the game-winner against Nicholls.
