CONWAY, Ark. - The Central Arkansas Men's Soccer Team hosts Central Methodist in a non-conference matchup on Friday, March 5. The Bears meet the No. 1 team in NAIA, Central Methodist in a prime time matchup.
TEAM NEWS
The Bears come into the non-conference match with a healthy squad. Multiple Bears have been playing well in training and in previous matches, which shows good signs for a strong eleven to be played by Coach
Ross Duncan.
FORM GUIDE
The Bears come off a 0-0 draw against Belmont and a 2-1 victory against Kansas City before that. In both matches, the Bears have held strong defensive play while still making chances often.
As for the Eagles, they are coming off a 12-0 Fall season, and a 4-1 victory over Creighton University in February. The Eagles average 22.8 shots per game and scored 45 goals in their 12 matches.
HEAD TO HEAD
The Bears and Eagles will meet for the first time ever on Friday.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Multiple Bears have played well this Spring, including
Zach Schawl and
Bradyn Knutson. Schawl and Knutson both have played in top form over the previous three matches for the Bears, which led to a clean sheet against Belmont.
