GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Central Arkansas women's golf team wrapped up the final round of the Bama Beach Bash on Sunday, at the Gulf Shores Golf Club.
Tania Nunez and
Pim-Orn Thitisup led the Bears as they tied for sixth with a three-day total of 224 (+8). UCA tied for fourth.
Nunez started the final round in sixth place and that is where she would finish the tournament. She recorded two birdies on the final day and finished with a round of 78 (+6). Her three-day mark of 224 (+8) was good for a sixth-place finish. She tallied a team-high nine birdies on the weekend.
Pim-Orn Thitisup moved up six spots in the final standings into a tie for sixth at 224 (+8) for the tournament. She posted a final-round score of 74 (+2) with one birdie on the round. She collected five birdies for the tournament.
Camila Moreno notched two birdies on the final day and finished with a score of 78 (+6). She tallied a three-day mark of 227 (+11) and tied for 12th. She picked up six birdies across the three-day competition.
Elin Kumlin posted a tournament score of 233 (+17) and tied for 32nd. She finished the third round with a 79 (+7). She collected two birdies for the tournament.
With a three-day total of 235 (+19),
Tanja Csaszar finished the tournament tied for 39th. In the final round she produced one birdie and a round of 78 (+6). She accumulated six birdies over the three days.
Pear Rittawee tallied three birdies on the final day on her way to a third-round score of 77 (+5). She climbed up 14 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 46th. She posted a three-day score of 239 (+23) and picked up six birdies across the three days.
Karley Whittington rocketed up 22 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 52nd. She finished day three with a mark of 75 (+3) with two birdies. She tallied three birdies for the tournament and finished with a score of 240 (+24).
The Bears return to the course for the Jan Weaver Invitational on the Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Kentucky. The tournament is hosted by Murray State and will begin on Friday, April 9.
