KATY, Texas - The Central Arkansas women's basketball team returns to action for the second round of the Southland Conference Tournament. The Sugar Bears look to bounce back after falling to Northwestern in the regular season finale as they take on Houston Baptist Thursday.

UCA is led by
Lucy Ibeh, who was named the SLC Newcomer of the Year, first-team all-conference, and an all-defensive honoree. Ibeh led the team with 15.1 points per game in conference matchups. She led the team with 34 steals in SLC play. She brought down 7.5 rebounds per game. She has added two blocks and posted a 52.5 field goal percentage. She posted two of the SLC's three 30-point games, both of which were 31-point games. She made a league single-game high 12 field goals against New Orleans. She tied for the second-most double-doubles with five. Her 15.1 points per game ranks fifth in SLC and ranks eighth with 7.5 rebounds per game. Her field goal percentage of 52.5 is second best in the SLC. Her 34 steals are eighth in the Southland, her total steals in all games is tied for No. 52 in the NCAA with 51. Led the Southland with 71 offensive rebounds and averaged 4.44 offensive rebounds per game.

Savanna Walker is second on the team averaging 6.8 points per game, second in steals with 23, and leads the team with 48 assists. With an average of 6.2 rebounds per game,
Briana Trigg is second on the team.
Briana Trigg is third on the team in steals with 20 and is averaging 5.8 points per game.
Ayanna Trigg is averaging 4.6 rebounds per game which is third on the team.
Tori Lasker is second on the team in assists with 36 and is fourth on the team with 5.1 points per game.
Carley Hudspeth leads UCA from behind the arc with 22 made 3-pointers.
Jayla Cody has been a force on defense and leads the team with 18 blocked shots.

The Sugar Bears hold a 10-2 overall record against the Huskies. UCA has won the last six meetings, including a 63-39 victory last year, on Jan. 1, 2020 in Conway. This will be the first time UCA meets HBU in the conference tournament.

The Huskies are led by Timia Jefferson, who was named to the all-conference second team. Jefferson is first on the team with 15.0 points per game and 49 steals, and second on the team with 51 assists. N'Denasija Collins is tied for first on the team with 7.5 rebounds per game and is third on the team 10.5 points per game. Kennedy Wilson leads the Huskies with 76 assists, is second on the team with 38 steals and is averaging 10.6 points per game. With 34 blocks, Marilyn Nzoiwu leads the huskies and is tied for first with 7.5 rebounds per game.
