CONWAY, Ark. - Central Arkansas volleyball continues to keep their hopes for a postseason bid alive as they look to win their second straight conference matchup. 

The Sugar Bears (5-15, ASUN 3-8) made a massive leap last match as their win against Jacksonville skyrocketed them from fifth in the West Division to 3rd. Now they hope to continue that momentum as they face the No. 2 team in the West, Lipscomb (10-11, ASUN 7-4). 

This is not the first time that these two saw each other this season, as they faced off less than a month ago in Nashville. This means that the finishing stretch is on the horizon, as UCA will face all their west division foes for a second time around before the season ends. The Bison will begin that stretch for the Sugar Bears as they hold the previous matchup's win. In that match, Lipscomb quickly swept UCA as the match only took an hour and 37 minutes. 

However, this Sugar Bears team feels different as they are on the rise after a few changes in the rotation. The biggest change seems to be the resurgence of sophomore middle blocker April Conant. Conant did not play in the first matchup against Lipscomb but has been a dynamic player in UCA's last two matches. Her ability to hit with such a high percentage has stabilized UCA's opportunities as she posted 17 kills on a .454 hitting percentage. Another key player will be freshman Jamiryana Hall. In her last five games, Hall has 37 kills, which ranks towards the top for all UCA athletes. These two young talents are definitely players to watch for during the Bison's match and for the remainder of this season.
