LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – One day of golf in the bag for the Central Arkansas men's team, as the Bears participate in the Little Rock Invitational at Chenal Country Club. After two rounds of golf on Monday, the team finds itself in 14
th place.
Blaine Calhoon started the day with the best finish for UCA, tallying a 2-over 74 before a 4-over 76 second round. After day one, he finds himself tied for 54
th in the field. Also tied at 54
th is
Brett Daughdrill, who rebounded to finish even in the second round, jumping 20 spots in the standings from the first to the second rounds.
Leading the Bears after day one is
Spencer Jenkins. After firing a 4-over 76 in the first leg of the day, he was able to shave a few strokes off of his next round to hold a day total of 5-over 149 after two rounds. He ends the afternoon tied for 51
st.
UCA gets back on the course tomorrow for day two of the Invitational. The field will start at 8 a.m. on Tuesday for one more round to determine the final standings.
