JONESBORO, Ark. – Central Arkansas men's golf wrapped up the final leg of the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon.
Blaine Calhoon shot a 1-over 73 to finish tied for 27
th.
The Cabot, Ark., native shot two birdies and three bogeys to climb three spots to lead the Bears. It marks the second time this fall that the sophomore has led the way for the Bears.
Two other Bears made good leaps in the standings on day two out at RidgePointe Country Club.
Spencer Jenkins shot a 2-over 74 to improve six spots to 59
th, and
Sam Long rebounded to have a personal-best for the event, finishing with a 75 to jump 11 spots to 64
th.
Despite shooting a team-low 300 in round three, the Bears fell a couple of spots to finish the event at 15
th out of 17 teams.
An outing at Chenal Country Club in Little Rock, Ark., is the next event for the Bears. The Little Rock Invitational takes place Oct. 18-19 and is hosted by the Little Rock Trojans.
