CONWAY, Ark. —The University of Central Arkansas women's basketball team looks to continue where it left off on Wednesday as the Sugar Bears return to the Farris Center for a matchup with Northwestern State on Saturday.
Lucy Ibeh continues to make her presence felt as she has three-consecutive games with at least 14 points. Ibeh is averaging 11.5 points per game, 6.9 rebounds per game, and has 30 steals, all are team highs. Ibeh is tied for 58th in the NCAA and is fifth in the Southland in steals and is tied for 81st in the nation and is third in the SLC with 2.31 steals per game.
Ayanna Trigg is coming off of her best game of the season where she tallied season-best marks in points (8), field-goals made (4), and steals (1).
Savanna Walker is second on the team with 6.2 points per game, second in assists with 24, and second in steals with 14.
Briana Trigg is second on the team with 5.1 rebounds per game and has added 15 assists.
Jayla Cody leads the Sugar Bears with nine blocks on the season and has averaged 3.6 rebounds per game.
Tori Lasker has a team-high 32 assists and has averaged 4.8 points per game.
The Sugar Bears hold an 18-13 series lead against the Lady Demons. UCA has won the last two meetings, with the last an 80-62 victory on March 7, 2020. Central Arkansas has a 10-5 record at home against Northwestern State.
Anessa Dussette leads the Lady Demons with 9.9 points per game and has a team-high 5.4 rebounds per game. Tristen Washington has a team-high 10 steals, team-high 32 assists, and is averaging 8.4 points per game, which is second. Julia Sion is leading the team with seven blocks and is shooting a team-high 45.7 percent from the field.
