BEARS TRAVEL TO TEXAS FOR TWO MATCHES

CONWAY, Ark. - After a good start to the 2020 season, the Central Arkansas women's soccer team travels to Texas to take on two teams over the weekend.

The Bears started the season with a 1-0 win over Little Rock last Thursday before losing to Arkansas State on Sunday, 2-0. Central Arkansas will be playing their third consecutive team from the Sun Belt conference in Texas State on Friday, set for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

The Bobcats are coming off of a 3-2 loss in extra time to Abilene Christian. They have lost three games by one goal each, and finished in a 1-1 draw against Houston Baptist.

Central Arkansas then travels to Nacogdoches, Texas, to take on Southland rival, Stephen F. Austin. SFA currently sits on a record of 2-0-1, after wins over Texas State and Louisiana, as well as a draw against Abilene Christian. The Bears take on the Ladyjacks on Sunday set for a 1:00 PM kickoff.

"We are looking forward to two more competitive matches this weekend. Both of these programs have a great history and are looking to have more success this year" said an excited Coach Jeremy Bishop."We will have to come ready to play and build, improve on the solid performances from last weekend."
