UCA’S CALHOON NOTCHES ASGA JUNIOR MATCH PLAY WIN

LITTLE ROCK – Incoming University of Central Arkansas men's golf freshman Blaine Calhoon scored his second victory in as many months with a win at the Arkansas Junior Match Play held at the Eagle Hill Golf and Athletic Club last week.

A native of Cabot, Calhoon reeled off five consecutive victories in a four-day span to earn the championship and build on his impressive summer resume having also won the Arkansas Junior Amateur Championship in June.

Calhoon will join the Bears this fall as they begin their quest for a Southland Conference championship beginning Sept. 9 at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate in Hattiesburg, Miss.
