Following another close loss in a hard-fought battle against league-unbeaten Stephen F. Austin on Wednesday, the Sugar Bears will look to get back in the win column on Saturday as they host Northwestern State at 2:00pm in the first half of a doubleheader with the Bears & Demons to follow. The Sugar Bears, who have dropped three of their last four, take on an NSU team that has lost five of its last six and is seeking its first road win of the season - coming to Conway with an 0-9 mark away from Natchitoches.
In honor of National Girls and Women In Sports Day coming up next Wednesday on the Sugar Bears' off date, UCA Athletics will celebrate the day on Saturday with all girls age 17 or under wearing the jersey of a team for which they play (any sport) being admitted for just $1. Â
