SALT LAKE CITY, Utah _ Six players in double figures carried the Utah Utes to a 98-67 victory over the University of Central Arkansas Bears on Saturday afternoon at the Jon M. Huntsman Center.

Timmy Allen led the Utes (7-2) with 24 points and Alfonso Plummer added 18 points off the bench as Utah shot 50.7 percent from the field, including a red-hot 60.6 percent in the opening half. Allen had 19 of his points in the first half and led the Utes to a 55-42 halftime lead.

The Bears (1-8) shot 53.3 percent in the first half and stayed within striking distance on the strength of 13 points from junior guard Rylan Bergersen. Bergersen, a transfer from nearby BYU, led the Bears with career-high 21 points.

The Utes forced 22 turnovers and turned it over just eight times, and also had 20 assists. Utah went 11 for 30 from three-point range and made 17 of 22 at the free-throw line.
