BEARS HOST TROJANS IN GOVERNOR'S I-40 SHOWDOWN

CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears will host Governor's I-40 Showdown rival the Little Rock Trojans on Sunday November 17 at 2 p.m. in the Farris Center. The game will be the only basketball matchup between the two teams this season.

The first 300 fans to enter the Farris Center will receive a free Governor's I-40 Showdown shirt. Need a ticket to the game? Join us at Saturday's Bear football game vs. Stephen F. Austin (3 p.m. on "The Stripes") and receive a $5 ticket coupon voucher good for one general admission ticket to Sunday's basketball game. You can also receive a $5 ticket by bringing five non-perishable food items to Sunday's game.

UCA (1-3) and Little Rock (1-1) have met a total of seven times since the 2015-16 season. The Bears have won the last three matchups against the Trojans. Last season, UCA swept the two-game series, winning 78-65 in Conway and 85-82 in Little Rock. The winner of Sunday's game will add four points to the year-long "Governor's I-40 Showdown" competition. UCA currently leads Little Rock in the standings, 11.5 points to 6.5 points through eight events.

The UCA Sugar Bears (1-1) take on the Trojans on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock, with four more points on the line.
