,CONWAY – The Central Arkansas Sugar Bears will have to quickly put their home loss against Northwestern State behind them as they will head to Beaumont, Texas to face the Lamar Cardinals (6-10, 1-5 SLC) tomorrow night at the McDonald Gym. The Sugar Bears (8-12, 2-5 SLC) will look to turn their SLC play around against the Cardinals as they currently rank at No. 10 in SLC standings and have dropped six of their last eight.
 
Central Arkansas will enter the match leading the SLC in team kills (1,112), assists (1,035) and attacks (3,009) while junior Emily Doss leads in total digs with 392.
 
MEET THE LAMAR CARDINALS
 
The Lamar Cardinals reside in Beaumont, Texas and are coming off back-to-back 3-0 losses against SLC powerhouses Northwestern State and Sam Houston State on the road. The Cardinals will also look to turn their SLC play around as they sit one spot behind Central Arkansas in the standings and have dropped seven of their last eight matches. The team will not enter the match with high SLC ranks as their best mark comes in aces per set (No. 2) as the Cardinals average 1.72. They sit dead last in hitting percentage (.162) while second-to-last in team kills (708) and digs (839).
 
Sophomore Abigale Nash leads Lamar's attack with 186 kills on the year while two others behind her have contributed 100+.
