Tulsa, OK – The Central Arkansas Bears built off their conference win over Bradley University with their second straight shutout, defeating the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles 3-0 at the Case Soccer Complex on Tuesday night. Central Arkansas had two players notch their first goals of the year as sophomore
Soren Jensen and freshman
Moiad Ankir enjoyed goals on the night. Freshman
Alberto Suarez collected his second goal of the year while Ankir, senior
Christian Ilia and sophomore
Jake Bates each collected an assist.
The Bears had their way with the Golden Eagles as they held them to two shots on the night, well below their shot average of 11.5. They made life difficult for freshman goalkeeper Miles Motakef as nine different Bears launched 22 shots and nine on goal. Motakef came into the night only allowing 0.88 goals per game through eight matches. UCA head coach Ross Duncan was pleased with his team's energy level throughout the match.
"That's the third game in a row that we've come out with the right energy and competing level from the start. We showed bravery and commitment and that's what made the difference," Duncan said. "We were good on the ball and created great chances while showing disciplined defending, but it was our energy that got us the result."
The Bear offense went to work early as freshman

After a quiet 15 minutes to open the second half, the Bears furthered their lead when Suarez connected from six yards out off a free kick that dropped to him on the left side of the goal to make it 2-0 in the 56
th minute. After five more Central Arkansas shots, Ankir beat his defender to a lead pass and sent it over the goalie's head to the right side of goal from eight yards out to advance the Bears' lead to 3-0 in the 71
st minute. Junior
