Milwaukee, Wisc. – The Central Arkansas Bears were unable to come a pair of early goals in their match at 22
nd-ranked Marquette on Thursday night, eventually falling to the Golden Eagles by a final tally of 4-0.
MU (2-0-0) opened the day's scoring in the 4
th minute, on a strike from Martin Alba, before Lukas Sunesson extended the lead to 2-0 with a rocket to the top right in the 11
th minute.
Niklas Brodacki would give Central Arkansas its first look of the day, but was thwarted in the 7
th minute by Marquette keeper Luis Barraza, while
Kasper Andersen saw a solid look turned away in the 27
th minute.
Niklas Sandquist continued the run of Central Arkansas possession with a shot on frame in the 33
rd minute, but the Golden Eagles would carry the 2-0 lead into the half.

Marc Olsen would be put to the test early in the second half, making a pair of saves in the first 12 minutes, before MU got a header from Connor Alba to push the advantage to 3-0 in the 62
nd minute.
The Bears would see an attempt from Christian Ilia saved by Barraza, before Patrick Segrist capped the evening's offense in the 74
th minute, extending the Golden Eagle advantage to 4-0 with a left-footed strike set up by Luka Prpa.
Central Arkansas would up the tempo late, getting a shot on goal from
Soren Jensen and blocked shot from Alberto Suarez, along with a pair of corners in the final three minutes, but the Bears were unable to break through.
Despite being outshot by a tally of 21-15, the Bears were only edged out in shots on target by a mark of 8-6 on the night.
The Bears return home for their next match, hosting Central Baptist at the Stephens at 7:30 PM on Monday.
