Hillsboro, Ore. – The Central Arkansas Bears continued their non-conference series with seventh-ranked Oregon State on Sunday, as the Bears and Beavers met at Ron Tonkin Field in Hillsboro, Oregon. For the second straight evening, the Bears fell to the Beavers by a final score of 6-2

The Beavers (21-7) got an RBI walk in the first and added a pair of unearned runs in the second to take a 3-0 lead before Central Arkansas (13-17) cut into the lead with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth. Designated hitter Chris Townsend got the inning started with a single to center field and moved to third on a double from leftfielder Brandon Montalvo, before coming in to score on a sacrifice fly from first baseman Matt Anderson. A groundout to short from third baseman Logan Preston scored Montalvo from third to cut the Beaver lead to 3-2.

OSU would get a run back in the bottom of the inning and add two more in the sixth to cap the game's scoring.

The Bears would get runners to third base in both the sixth and seventh innings, but were unable to bring them in on either occasion.

Cody Davenport (2-2) suffered the loss for the Bears, allowing four runs, just two earned in five innings of work. He surrendered seven hits and three walks while striking out two. Chris Durham worked the finals three innings for Central Arkansas, allowing a pair of runs on two hits and a walk and striking out a pair of Beavers.

The Bears and Beavers will wrap up their series tomorrow afternoon in Corvallis. First pitch is set for
