Conway – The Central Arkansas Bears took a break from Southland Conference play on Tuesday night, hosing the Memphis Tigers at Farris Field. Senior catcher

nd home run of her career, moving into a tie for first place in Central Arkansas softball history, as the Bears took down Memphis 6-3.
Memphis (18-19) struck first, getting an unearned run in the top of the third, but the Bears responded immediately to take the lead. Third baseman
Sam Forrest roped a double down the left-field line before Taylor connected on a 2-2 pitch and planting it in the UCA bullpen in left field to put the Bears on top 2-1.
UCA (24-14) added on four insurance runs in the bottom half of the inning, as shortstop
Kate Myers drew a one-out walk to get things started. After an error off the bat of centerfielder
Amy Gunnells gave the Bears a pair of base runners, right fielder
Briana Whisenhunt legged out a bunt single. Second baseman
Sarah Bigej then found the gap in left-center, doubling in Myers and Gunnells to push the UCA lead to 4-1. Later in the inning, Taylor delivered for the Bears again, singling through the left side to drive in two more runs to make it 6-1 in favor of the Bears.
Memphis would get a pair in the top of the fifth, but that would be the end of the game's scoring.

th complete game of the season. She allowed a pair of earned runs on seven hits while striking out five.
Taylor led the UCA offense, turning in a 3-for-4 performance and driving in four runs.
