CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears took advantage of 15 walks and got solid pitching performances from a pair of sophomores on Wednesday night to secure a 6-1 victory over the Little Rock Trojans in Game 2 of the "Rock N Roar Rivalry" at Bear Stadium.
UCA starter Tyler Gray pitched a scoreless four innings on the front end, allowing four hits and striking out two. Left hander Chris Durham went the final 4 1/3 innings, striking out five and allowing just three hits and no runs. UCA's three pitchers combined for just one base on balls. The Bears' 15 walks ties for the second-most in school history.
The Bears evened the season series with the Trojans despite being out-hit 9-4. But UCA took advantage of what Little Rock gave it at the plate with the free passes, one hit batter and a balk that scored another run.
UCA (15-17) scored a run in the top of the first inning on senior Matt Anderson's RBI double to left center that scored senior Tyler Langley.  The Bears made it 2-0 in the second when senior Chris Townsend singled to right field to score shortstop Brooks Balisterri, who had a base hit and advanced on a wild pitch.
The lead stretched to 4-0 in the fourth when UCA scored two runs without the benefit of a hit. The Bears got three walks, a sacrifice bunt and a balk off Little Rock reliever Reed Willenborg. After the Trojans plated their lone run in the top of the fifth off UCA reliever Hunter Neal, the Bears answered with their final two runs in the bottom of the sixth, again with no hits.
Four straight Bears drew walks, with Langley scoring on a wild pitch and freshman Chris Davenport drawing a bases-loaded walk to bring in Anderson for a 6-1 lead. Langley scored three times and went 1 for 1 with two walks and a hit by pitch. Anderson finished 1 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored, while Townsend was 1 for 2 with an RBI.
For the Trojans, Hunter Owens, Dalton Thomas and Zach Baker had two hits apiece. Ryan Scott, the second-leading hitter in the nation at .472, finished 1 for 4.
