Starkville, Miss. – The Central Arkansas Bears were back in action on Saturday, playing a pair of games at the Bulldog Slamboree in Starkville, Mississippi. The Bears opened the day with a 4-0 loss to host Mississippi State, before ending the day with a 2-0 loss to Western Kentucky.
Against Missississippi State, the Bears (13-7) managed just one hit, a one-out single in the top of the first from right fielder

The Bulldogs (15-3) took a 2-0 lead on a two-run homerun from catcher Katie Ann Bailey in the bottom of the third inning, before she came through again in the fifth, singling home left fielder Loryn Nichols to push the MSU lead to 3-0.
First baseman Morgan Bell capped the game's scoring in the sixth, singling home third baseman Caroline Seitz.

Shivaun Landeros (8-4) took the loss, as she allowed four runs on 10 hits and a pair of strikeouts in seven innings of work.

Nicole Fullilove had her best outing of the season so far, as the held the Hilltoppers to just a pair of runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two to earn her first collegiate complete game.
Central Arkansas returns to the field tomorrow morning at 11:30 AM, taking on Chatanooga.
