CONWAY, Ark._ A ninth-inning ground ball through the left side of the infield off the bat of senior Tyler Langley gave the University of Central Arkansas Bears a come-from-behind 8-7 victory over the Houston Baptist Huskies on Friday night at Bear Stadium.
The Bears (11-10, 5-3), trailed 6-0 after three innings but rallied to tie the game in the seventh. UCA scored the game's final six runs, including two in the seventh to tie it at 7-7 and the game-winner on Langley's walkoff single that scored Michael Haun. Haun hit a one-out single up the middle against HBU closer Dylan Zarosky, who entered the game in the seventh with a 7-5 lead.Â
Haun stole second and continued on to third on an errant throw by HBU catcher Blake Thomas. Langley then hit a 1-1 pitch between the drawn-in infield to give the Bears the series win after Thursday night's 11-0 victory.
UCA got 6 1/3 strong innings from senior Derek Beier in relief of freshman starter Cody Davenport. He allowed one run in the fifth that gave the Huskies (10-13, 2-3) a 7-2 lead, but put up four zeroes the rest of the way.

HBU got its final run in the fifth but UCA got one back in the bottom of the inning when Langley singled, advanced to second on a wild pitch, went to third on Montalvo's base hit to left and scored on a throwing error by HBU starter Julian Griego on a failed pickoff attempt.
In the sixth, UCA scored two more runs without the benefit of a hit as Matt Anderson scored on a balk and Butch Rea scored on a groundout after reaching on a walk. Two more came in for the Bears in the seventh to tie it. Freshman William Hancock, who went 3 for 4, and Hunter Strong were both hit by pitches to open the frame. Zarosky entered the game and walked Anderson and Rea to bring in Hancock. A sacrifice fly by Haun tied it at 7-7.
Beier got the Huskies out in order on six pitches in the eighth and worked around a hit batter for three outs in the ninth.Â
