Tulsa, Okla. – The Central Arkansas women's soccer team took the field against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Sunday afternoon. The Bears struggled to get anything going offensively on the day, falling 2-0.
Tulsa (6-0) got on the board in the 13
th minute, when Alexa Sidorakis fed a pass to Tana Dake, who put it away from 12 yards out to give the Golden Hurricane a 1-0 lead.
The Golden Hurricane added to its lead in the 68
th minute, when Dake fired a shot that Central Arkansas keeper
Lauren Mercuri deflected. The deflection fell to Elisa Impagliazzo, who tapped it in from two yards out.
The Bears took three shots on the day, led by
Alex Moore, who put her only attempt on goal, while
Shelby Wilson and
Dayna Mounie each took a shot.
In goal for the Bears,
Anna Hughes and Mercuri each made five saves and allowed a goal.
Central Arkansas returns to the Bill Stephens Soccer Complex for a pair of matches next weekend. The Bears will take on Missouri State on Friday evening at 7:00 PM, before hosting Mississippi Valley State on Sunday at 3:00 PM.
