Las Vegas, Nev. – The Central Arkansas volleyball team opened the 2015 season on Friday night, travelling to Las Vegas, Nevada to take part in the UNLV Invitational. The Sugar Bears opened their tournament appearance against host UNLV, falling 3-1.
Central Arkansas (0-1) was outhit .423 to .115 in the first set, falling 25-14. The Sugar Bears battled back in the second set, but still came up short, falling into a 2-0 hole thanks to a 25-23 defeat. Central Arkansas got on the board in the third set, outhitting the Rebels (1-0) .259 to .188 to take the set 25-21. The fourth set went to UNLV 25-15, giving them the 3-1 victory.

The Sugar Bears wrap up their tournament appearance with a pair of matches tomorrow. Central Arkansas will take the court against the Seton Hall Pirates at 2:30 PM central time, before suiting up against the Omaha Mavericks at 6:30 PM central.
