NATCHITOCHES, La. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears scored first on Saturday but Missouri State reeled off 10 consecutive runs to take a 10-1 victory in non-conference action at Northwestern State's Brown-Stroud Field.

   UCA (3-3) got a run in the top of the third inning when junior center fielder Tyler Langley singled up the middle, went to third on a failed pickoff attempt and scored on Braxton Phillips' ground out. It was all Missouri State after that.
   The Maroon Bears answered with four runs in the bottom of the inning _ three unearned _ and added a single run in teh fifth. A four-run seventh inning put the game out of reach and MSU added an insurance run in the eighth.

   MSU out-hit UCA 14-4 and took advantage of a pair of UCA errors.Â
   Langley went 2 for 3 as the only UCA play with multiple hits. MSU right fielder Blake Graham finished 4 for 5 with 3 runs batted in and 4 runs scored, while first baseman Justin Paulsen was 3 for 4. Five MSU players had multiple hits.
   UCA starter Andrew Kemmerer went four innings, allowing just 1 earned run, walking 5 and striking out 2. Josh Markel allowed 4 runs in 3 innings.
   The teams meet in the series finale at 11 a.m. Sunday.
