BEARS HOST MUSTANGS IN SECOND EXHIBITION


    CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears will host their second exhibition of the season Saturday when they take on the Central Baptist Mustangs at 7 p.m. at the Farris Center.

    UCA won its initial exhibition a week ago, beating the Lyon Scots 77-69 at the Farris Center. Senior forward Justin Foreman led the Bears with 18 points and sophomore forward Mathieu Kamba added 14. UCA connected on 36 of 49 (73.5 percent) from the free-throw line, including 16 of 18 in the first half.

    The Bears had four players in double figures, with sophomore guard Jordan Howard adding 12 points and senior center Jake Zuilhof scoring 11. Howard had a game-high four assists, while while Kamba, Foreman, Zuilhof and Howard had six rebounds each.

    The Mustangs, coached by former UCA baseball player and assistant coach Wes Sullivan, have a 1-0 record after an 84-50 victory over Ecclesia College on Tuesday. 

  UCA opens the 2015-16 regular season next Saturday at Tulsa. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the Reynolds Center. The Bears' first home game of the season will be Wednesday, Dec. 16 against Little Rock.
