Conway – The Central Arkansas softball team will welcome the University of Louisiana at Monroe to Farris Field for a non-conference game on Tuesday evening. The Bears will use the day to honor the sacrifices of those in the armed services, both currently and in the past.
Central Arkansas strength and conditioning coach Richard Green will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. He served in the 3
rd Battalion 8
th Marines, based out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina for ten years, and also spent time at Camp Courtney in Okinawa, Japan.
The UCA Color Guard will present the colors during the National Anthem.
The Bears would like to invite all who have served the country onto the field to be recognized prior to the game.
