The Central Arkansas Sugar Bears stepped out of Southland Conference play for the second of three games in three days. Central Arkansas took down Louisiana Tech in straight sets, their second such victory in a row.
Jessica Nagy led Central Arkansas (9-3) offensively, notching 15 kills and three blocks. Paige Gantar chipped in 10 kills. Marissa Collins turned in a double-double at the setter position, dishing out 35 assists and digging 10 balls, adding four blocks and a service ace for good measure. Shelbee Berring led the Sugar Bear defense with 11 digs. Xzache Mathis led the way for Louisiana Tech with 11 kills, while Maria Coelho had 24 assists and Alejandra Aviles had 13 digs.
Central Arkansas will return to Southland Conference play tomorrow afternoon at the Prince Center. They will face off against Incarnate Word at 2:00 pm.
