Tulsa, Okla. – The Central Arkansas volleyball team traveled to Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday to face off with the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles. Central Arkansas remained perfect in Southland Conference play, taking down Oral Roberts 3-1.

Central Arkansas (23-3, 15-0 SLC) hit .236 for the match. Central Arkansas took the first set 25-18, before Oral Roberts rebounded to take the second set by the same score. The Sugar Bears took the third set 25-17 and the fourth set 25-22 to wrap up the match.

The Central Arkansas offense was led by Heather Schnars who turned in a match-high 17 kills along with 11 digs and three blocks. Scout Brooks had 12 kills and six digs, while Jessica Nagy tallied ten kills and two aces. Marissa Collins keyed the Central Arkansas offense with a match-high 48 assists, and Shelbee Berringer collected a team-high 15 digs on the defensive front. Sara Pope led Oral Roberts (19-6, 11-4 SLC) with 11 kills, while Laura Taylor dished out 35 assists. Defensively, Bruna Silva turned in a match-high 18 digs.

Central Arkansas returns to action on Tuesday, hitting the road for Natchitoches, Louisiana to face off with Northwestern State. The Sugar Bears will then return to Conway for a pair of matches against New Orleans and Southeastern Louisiana to wrap up the regular season.
