CONWAY — Following a pair of wins on the road last weekend, the Central Arkansas women's soccer team returns home Wednesday to take on UALR at 5 p.m. at the Bill Stephens Complex in Conway.
The Bears (5-1) will look to run their winning streak to three and will be attempting to record their first-ever victory against the Trojans, who own a 5-0 series lead. The two teams have met in each of the previous two seasons, with UALR winning 2-1 in Little Rock last season and 3-0 in Conway in 2010.
The Trojans are off to an 0-4 start this year, having been outscored 20-2 thus far in those defeats. The most recent was an 8-0 loss at Ole Miss on Friday, following a 4-1 setback at home against Western Illinois. In the season opener, they fell 5-0 at Missouri State and followed with a 3-1 home loss to Austin Peay.
Central Arkansas is 1-0 this season against teams from the Sun Belt Conference, getting a 2-1 win over ULM on Aug. 19.
